putting an end to Homelessness
It is a fact that a Homeless Population exists and lives on our streets. This population does not only exists but it keeps growing everyday. It is likely for an average person to encounter a homeless person at least once a week because most of the time is more than that. we find them outside supermarkets, at parks, outside restaurants, and the most common place now at the entrances and exits of freeways. The many resources there are for them to benefit from are not always enough because their number enlarges as the days go by. These people deserve a chance to overcome their present reality. People like John from "stories from the streets" deserve a helping hand that makes them feel appreciated and valuable as human beings they are. The 2013 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) To The Congress states that about 600,000 people in U.S. are homeless, about 138,000 of them are children and women, many of them includes Veterans. The good news are that the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, along with other Departments are planning strategic actions to end Homelessness. Everyone should be able to have and afford a place to stay in and nobody should starve in a country where there is abundance. Homelessness should be extinct.
